2024 Acumen PEAK Sauvignon Blanc
Atlas Peak

With every vintage, our goal is to craft consummate expressions of our estate vineyards on the high-mountain slopes of Napa Valley’s acclaimed Atlas Peak.
ATTELAS VINEYARD
Located in the famed eastern mountains of Napa Valley, Attelas Vineyard was first planted in 1992, and was the original ‘home vineyard’ of legendary winegrower Dr. Jan Krupp. Attelas is situated at approximately 1,300 feet, and features 28 acres of vines, planted in volcanic gravelly loam soils as a mosaic of 16 vineyard blocks—including eight blocks and six different clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as Malbec, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. With a predominantly northwest exposure, Attelas is a cool site in a cooler appellation, making it ideal for our complex and structured style.
2024 VINTAGE
The 2024 growing season began with generous winter rains that saturated the soils and set the vines up for success. After an early budbreak and bloom, we benefitted from a warm-to-hot summer, including several days close to 100º F. At our cool Attelas Vineyard, the heat worked in our favor allowing the grapes to fully ripen, with cool mountain nights helping to preserve excellent natural acidity and more delicate aromas. As a result, our 2024 Sauvignon Blanc harvest produced exceptional quality grapes with tantalizing citrus, stone fruit and tropical elements.
NOTES FROM OUR WINEMAKER
Beautifully high-toned and vibrant, this sensational expression of mountain-grown Sauvignon Blanc draws you in with exotic aromas of quince, kiwi, Key lime, orange blossom and Ruby Red grapefruit, as well as hints of clove, fresh sage and tarragon. On the palate it is bright and racy, with volcanic minerality and fine-tuned acidity supporting succulent layers of peach, melon and lychee as they glide to a tantalizing finish complemented by notes of vanilla, sweet oak and brioche.
