Noel Rubio

Wine Ambassador

Noel is a Napa native who comes from a family of immigrant farmers. Growing up, he learned to appreciate hard work and the importance of understanding the roots of things. He has been with Acumen for two years now, starting his career at Groth Family Vineyards in 2014. Under the guidance of his father, Jose Vargas, who was the cellar master, and retired winemaker Michael Weis, he gained valuable knowledge during a two-and-a-half-year production internship. After that, he worked in various roles in the hospitality industry throughout the valley for six years before finding his way back to the wine industry. He now uses his decade of experience to further his passion for wine in sales as a front-of-house representative.

"As someone who has witnessed the wonderful changes and growth of our once-quiet town, I've come to appreciate the moderate, and sometimes fast-paced, lifestyle of Napa Valley. I'm fortunate to have been raised in such a diverse and wonderful community, thanks to the amazing agriculture here. I never plan to leave; this is my home."

Noel enjoys giving people the same experience he enjoys every day with his family in the valley he calls home. He feels even more fortunate to be a part of something much greater at Acumen, working alongside a wonderful team of experienced individuals to create an elevated experience with our fantastic, high-altitude Atlas Peak Cabernet. He can't wait for everyone to discover our amazing downtown Napa location.
